Hello everyone,
While I'm waiting for delivery of my new S1 Laser, I downloaded the XCS software for Windows and Android.
There seems to be something wrong with the windows version. It consumes about 95% of the CPU time from the moment a .xcs file is opened. Even if it's not doing anything but sitting there.
I tried running a preview and while it seems to work it is extremely slow. I would say it's about 40 times slower than it should be. The file I'm trying to ‘preview’ says it should take 8 minutes to complete. If I set the preview speed to 40x, it takes about 8 minutes to complete. That's on the windows system. If I do the exact same test on the android tablet, it finishes in about 10 seconds.
The attached screenshot of the task manager shows the CPU and memory usage to be very high and the power usage to be very high as well. One night, I left the software open, and in the morning the fans in my CPU were running loud enough that I could hear them from across the room. I've had the PC for a couple of years now and I've never heard the fans come on until now.
At first, I thought it might be my Windows system configuration but I'm able to run inkscape and Fusion 360 with no problems.
Any help or advice will be appreciated!
