Currently, I'm using the M lens to cut 8mm thick HDF at 100% power, 8mm/s. I want to do this at a higher speed so I swapped to L lens but with the same setting I'm not getting through.

I thought for sure that a bigger lens would cut better, but I think I got it fundamentally wrong. A bigger lens divides the power on a bigger spot, so it goes through thicker with a cleaner focus (less slant cut), but needs to go slower. Is that right?
