In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of adding an overall outline to your bitmap and vector images in XCS.
Let's get started! Import a bitmap image into XCS by clicking on "File" > "Import". Once the image is in your workspace, click "edit image" to prepare for the transformation.
Time to erase the background! Grab the magic wand tool from the toolbar on the left. Use it to select the background of your image to remove it.
Now, add or draw a vector image. With both your bitmap and vector images on the workspace, click and drag to select both.
With both images selected, click "outline" in the top menu. Adjust the offset distance slider to your desired value. This will add an outline around your images. And that's it!
You've done it! In just four steps, you've added an overall outline to your bitmap and vector images in XCS. If you're looking to engrave a hollow image, after extracting lines from the background by using the magic wand tool, select "add inner outline for bitmap."
