Have you ever wanted to combine texts to make them look more unified and visually appealing? Then it's time to use the Text Welding function in xTool Creative Space software!

What is Text Welding Function？

Text welding is an incredibly handy feature that allows you to "melt" the outlines of characters and create a seamless look for your designs. When the outline of a character overlaps with another, click the [Weld] button, the overlapping part of the two characters will be ‘United’ together.

How to use the text welding function?

Step1

Type your text.

Step 2

Adjust the size, typeface, style, spacing, and leading of the text.

Step 3

Select the text and click on the [Weld] button in the right-hand panel.

Now your text is welded together into one.

Reminders

1. When the letter spacing of your text is less than 0, the text will be converted into a path after welding, which means you won't be able to edit it anymore. Also, the right-hand panel won't be displayed.
2. When the letter spacing of your text is greater than 0, the text will still be converted into a path after welding, but there won't be any welding effect.
3. If you want to go back to the previous state of your text, you can use the Undo function (Windows shortcut: Ctrl+Z, Mac shortcut: Command+Z).
4. Follow our recommended steps carefully! Avoid changing the size of your text after adjusting the letter spacing and clicking [Weld], or using the Undo function. Doing so might cause some issues.
