Get to know the product

Can the M1's purifier be used directly with the F1? If not, why not?

  • It can be directly connected when using a correct size pipe. However, because the large purifier cannot be linked with the machine and can only be controlled manually.

Is it possible to purchase blades on the market for M1?

  • You need to buy the original blade from xtool. Other specifications may not be suitable due to blade size and angle issues.

What is the maximum thickness of the material that xTool M1 can blade cut?

  • Flexible materials below 1.5mm

Can the M1 blade cutter head be replaced by a blade cutter head from another manufacturer?

  • No, you need to purchase the original blade cutter head from xtool official. Other specifications and models are not applicable due to the size and angle of the blade cutter head.

Can the M1 5w machine be upgraded to M1 10w?

  • It can not be upgraded directly because it requires replacing multiple parts, so we do not recommend upgrading.

Can white non-woven fabric be laser cut? Using a power of 70% and a speed of 30mm/s, non-woven fabrics of other colors can be laser cut, but white non-woven fabrics cannot be cut at all.

  • The white non-woven fabric is translucent and somewhat reflective, and its ability to absorb laser light is a bit weak. We can cut a leaf here using 100% power and 1mm/s speed.

Can thinner PET materials, such as car films and screen protectors, be cut with lasers and blades?

  • It is recommended to use blade cut

Can materials such as PVC foam and Styrofoam be used for cutting?

  • It is recommended to use blade cutting for this type of material. Using laser can easily melt and deform the edges.

Can you cut carbon fiber panels?

  • Carbon fiber sheets cannot be cut

How deep can metal materials be laser engraved?

  • It can only be engraved on the surface. For metal materials, we have tested stainless steel, anodized aluminum, coated metal, and titanium. Some metals (such as mirror stainless steel, zinc alloy, etc.) are highly reflective. Such metals cannot be engraved because the laser will be reflected back by such materials.
  • If you have tried using the maximum power and minimum speed to engrave copper and nickel-plated metal without leaving any traces, then it is basically impossible to engrave the metal. You can consider using a special spray paint for laser engraving on the metal material and then engraving it.

What are the dimensions of the exhaust pipe for the xTool M1? How long does the exhaust pipe protrude from the back of the machine after it is bent?

  • xTool M1 exhaust pipe dimensions: φ76mm*L2000mm.
  • Exhaust pipe protrude123.26mm~130mm from the back of the machine after it is bent.

Get to know the operations, exceptions, and precautions

When use blade cutting, the machine makes the same movement in the air before each cut and then cuts. The machine takes twice as long to cut, why is this happening?

  • During the blade cutting process, the blade head first moves in the air to adjust the direction of the blade head to achieve a good cutting effect.

With the M1, after some time, the laser loses power even though they give proper maintenance.

The calibration of the cutting blade is another issue.
