Use xTool Smart Press

The following uses the PU film heat pressing on a T-shirt as an example. The temperature and time recommended for pressing it are 160℃ and 30s.

1. Press the power switch of xTool Smart Press. The buzzer sounds once and the indicator lights up once in orange.

2. Turn the knob to select the processing time to 30s and temperature to 160℃.

For more settings about xTool Smart Control, see Smart Control Settings.

3. After the parameters setting is completed, the device starts to preheat.

The indicator turns green and the buzzer sounds, which means preheating is completed.

4. Place a T-shirt on the heat press mat. (The heat press mat is sold separately.)

5. It is recommended that you preheat the T-shirt for 5s to 10s for a better result.

6. Place the transfer film with a pattern on the T-shirt.

πŸ’‘ Tips: You are advised to place a piece of baking paper or butcher paper on the surface of the material before processing so that the material will not get stained with residues on the heating plate.

7. Hold the handles of xTool Smart Press with both hands, put the device on the transfer film, and cover the pattern. Make sure the pattern is fully covered by xTool Smart Press.

8. Press the Start/Stop button on xTool Smart Control. Start the countdown.

It is recommended that you lean forward to apply force on xTool Smart Press with hands to get better processing results.

9. When the countdown ends, processing is completed.

πŸ’‘ Tips: For better heat pressing results, it is recommended that you wait for 30s to 60s and turn the material over. Then heat press the material for 15s with the same temperature again.

10. Put xTool Smart Press back on the base.

⚠️ Attention:
  • Ensure that xTool Smart Press is placed on the four silicone feet without touching any other parts of the base. Otherwise, the other parts may melt due to high temperature.
  • The base is hot. Do not hold the base to move the device after heating.

11. Press the power switch to power off the device.

12. Wait for the material to cool down, then gently peel off the film.
If the pattern looks uneven after the heat pressing, you can place the film back in position and heat press it for a short time again.

13. Your DIY T-shirt is done!
