When you use the chuck with the L-shaped module of xTool Rotary Attachment 2 Pro (RA2 Pro), the pattern processed may deform, for example, a circle is processed as an ellipse, and a square is processed as a trapezoid.
When this happens, you can modify your patterns as follows to ensure better processing results.
Modify your pattern based on the ratio of the sides in the 2D view.
Assume that you are to process a square on a cone, as shown in the following figure.
You need to measure the lengths of the two arcs and modify the square accordingly.
Note that the height of the pattern to be processed is the same as that of the target processing area, or the formula does not work.
Because the material to be processed is not a regular cylinder and the diameter differs in different positions. When the material rotates at the same angle, the length rotated differs in different positions. That is why the processing result deforms.
