I am creating tags to be used on USB dongles that each have a unique serial number. I have purchased tags and will use the M1 to etch / scribe a unique serial number. I've built a fixture that holds 25 tags… I would like to find an easy way to adjust the text for each lot of 25 I process. For instance, the first lot will be Q-001, Q-002, Q-003… …Q-025. The next lot of 25 will be Q-026, Q-027, Q-028, etc.
Is there a way in the X-Tool software to do a find and replace or mail-merge or other automated way to deal with this?
Alternately, we have a way to do this already in MS Word from our old (printed paper) tag system. Maybe we can adjust this template and export from Word to SVG format for subsequent inmport into X-Tool.
Any ideas are welcome.
