I have just set up my F1.  I am trying to do a simple engrave of the stock elephant photo onto one of the sample metal business cards.  

When I try to frame the image, the framing icon just has a spinning circle next to it and doesn't do anything.  When I click the framing button on the laser, I get a diagonal line.  I am using the software on a mac and am using an adapter to connect the usb cable. It shows the laser is connected.  

When I try to process the image, I get the same thing.  The processing just spins and goes nowhere. I've let it sit for at least 5 minutes.  

Could the issue be the adapter?  Even though it shows the device is connected, I wonder if the processing part is going through correctly.  

Any suggestions would  be greatly appreciated.  I couldn't wait to try it, but now I'm frustrated.  Been trying to get it to work for 3 hours.
