Diving into the xTool Creative Space software is an exciting journey, especially if your machine is on its way to you, or perhaps you're contemplating the purchase. You might be wondering, "Can I get a head start on learning the software even without the machine?" Absolutely! Here’s a trick to explore and set parameters without physically connecting the machine.

In XCS, all parameter settings are linked to a specific machine. This means if you never connected to a machine, you'll be unable to see the object setting area which contains all processing parameters.

To enable the software to recognize a specific machine and set it as your default, you’ll need to open a .xcs project file. This approach tricks the software into thinking you have the corresponding machine, allowing you to explore and adjust the settings.

Head over to xTool Projects and navigate to the top bar where you'll find Explore and then Machines. This section showcases a variety of cases categorized by machine types.

For instance, if you’re interested in xTool S1, hover your mouse over the project covers to see if they come with a File.

Click on a project, and find the Open in XCS button. This indicates that the author has uploaded a project file in .xcs format. Clicking it will automatically launch the software.

 

Once the file is opened in XCS, you’ll notice that the software automatically matches the corresponding machine in the top-right corner.

You can now select elements and begin adjusting the processing parameters!
