Issue description
While operating your xTool Hot Foil Pen on xTool M1 Ultra under the Hot foil pen mode, you may encounter issues where the Hot Foil Pen fails to completely fill the intended areas during processing. This can result in incomplete foil coverage in certain regions, leading to uneven or patchy results. Please refer to this section for advice.
Possible causes
- Flatness Issues: Warped material or uneven electrostatic mat installation.
- Incorrect Processing Parameters: Suboptimal pen pressure or speed settings.
Troubleshooting
STEP1: Adjust processing parameters
- For small, isolated areas with incomplete filling:
- Open xTool Creative Space software and check the processing parameters.
- Increase the pen pressure and decrease the speed to ensure the foil is applied consistently across all areas.
- For larger areas with incomplete filling:
- If adjusting the pen pressure does not resolve the issue, proceed to STEP2 for further investigation.
STEP2: Check material flatness
- Inspect the material for any surface irregularities or unevenness.
- If the material is uneven: Replace it with a smoother, higher-quality material.
- If the material is flat and the issue persists: Continue to STEP3.
- If using xTool Electrostatic Mat with xTool Hot Foil Pen:
- Check the Electrostatic Mat for flatness.
- If there are flatness issues with the mat, refer to: Troubleshoot Uneven Installation of xTool Electrostatic Mat on M1 Ultra for troubleshooting advice.
- If the issue persists: Proceed to STEP3.
